Onipa Nua I Feel Alright
Side A
I Feel Alright
Auntie Rosina
Gormccna Gudu
Babungida
Side B
Anuanum Adofo
Zuda Gabati
Gantuma
Auntie Rosina (instrumental)
Left field awesomeness from a former-street-performer-turned-singer/songwriter in Ghana who passed away shortly after being discovered. Bombastic rock and gentle folk melodies.
Check out XLR8R's array of podcasts, I recently did an Awesome Tapes from Africa mix for them, which can be downloaded here.

You cannot imagine how happy i am looking for this artist for almost 15 years after seeing him in the french Arte television show by Martin Messonier, Megamix. This show was awesome going in music inner depth from The beatnigs to Onipa Nua. You are my man !!!!!!
I forgot to praise your new post. This tape of Onipa Nua singin in Hausa is just fantastic! Na gode kwarai da gaske da meda'wase papapa!!
ok guys, i got rid of all the weird bruno leicht comments, thanks for the head's up...how odd.
thanks for the positive comments, i had been saving this tape for a long, long time, only playing it at home and at parties.

greetings!
been a while since i've had time to wander round the blogland checkin' out others posts - quite bizarre to stumble here & see this post when i just yesterday ripped a cassette by Onipa called Suffer Head (i'll be posting it in a few week or so on my blogs) - i have the cd version of 'i feel alright' if required, along with a few other Bibini releases (although i generally stick to ripping vinyl & am on a cassette listening spree at home this week!)
